Riddle Street Montessori combines the Montessori philosophy with proven hands on educational strategies that challenge and support gifted learners to satisfy their need for discovery and mastery.
We believe that Riddle Street Montessori's open-ended and dynamic curriculum engages students through relevant, real-life projects and addresses multiple intelligences in creative and integrated ways. Our teachers strive to know every student in order to address his/her individual academic, physical, social and emotional needs by using a variety of instruction techniques.
At Riddle Street Montessori, we cherish the children's interests and work hard to nurture and develop them. Our small classes enable the teachers to help the students learn to work as a team and appreciate as well as support each other as valuable individuals.
Riddle Street Montessori uses several methods such as early entrance, multiage classes, ability grouping and compacting curriculum to ensure that students learn at a comfortable pace and in an environment that maximizes their potential.
Riddle Street Montessori offers a standard achievement test (Iowa based Testing Skills) annually to measure each elementary student's progress and to assess the effectiveness of the learning environment. |
