Montessori Method
The child is a main component of the Montessori Method. Every child is actively involved in the learning process. The child can choose work that appeals to their inner interests. Gradually, a child builds a strong sense of independence and self-confidence as skills increase. Each child assumes responsibility for his own actions and completion of tasks.

The prepared learning environment is another important aspect of Montessori Method. The Montessori classrooms help to create self-disciplined and self-motivated children that are empowered by opportunities for independence, mixed age learning and the desire to pursue knowledge and purposeful work. The children work with a sense of initiative that often seems remarkable for a parent unfamiliar with Montessori education. The Montessori classroom is a place where a child can discover the World and build mind and body.

Unlike the teacher in a traditional school, the Montessori directress is not the center of the class. They are sensitive observers of the child's developmental needs and skills, and match learning activities to each child. The Directress guides, listens and encourages, providing information at a pace that is responsive to the individual child's readiness to learn. They allow and promote self discovery. Children respond through active participation and co-operation. Each learning experience in a Montessori classroom leads to new skill levels, the mastery of academic knowledge, a sense of self-worth, respect for self, others, the environment and life, courtesy and global awareness.
